Women traveling abroad, especially as a solo traveler need to be more aware of foreign customs and traditions related to clothing (especially in the Middle East) and dating rituals than the average Joe that travels abroad.   Some countries expect women to be fully covered while other cultures don't care.  Some countries are very male dominated (e.g. Greece and Italy) and naively expect that foreign women will be submissive to their advances or groping (some of my female friends overseas, made sure they would think twice before ever doing that again).  But, whatever, the doomsayers warn about you going abroad, I can assure you, from my own personal experiences traveling the world and meeting female travelers, that you can do so safely and without incident.  It's a big beautiful world, so go out and explore!  Finding a job overseas in our joblist offers the benenfit of having a group of co-workers that you can hang-out with.
