listing these programs, so you can choose the best one for yourself... so good luck and
congratulations on having an interest in traveling around the world. To search our

You can click on the Advice tab
(under the photos and to the right) for more information on working and studying overseas
in all the different regions of the world.
Also, on the Home page, you can sign
up for a free weekly newsletter with great advice on international work, volunteer
programs, and internships as well as a section on World News of the Weird that offers both
funny and odd stories.
We suggest that you research not only the country
itself that interests you, but also the volunteer program itself.Every reputable volunteer program will offer some
contact information for its past volunteers.Take
some time and contact them. They will offer a
great amount of information like; how the food is, where to go on your time-off, what the
living accommodations are really like, andwhat to
expect during the course of an average day.
Volunteer programs overseas are both plentiful and
rewarding. As opposed to working a job
overseas, and getting paid, you work as a volunteer without pay.The benefits include the fact that you get to help
others, travel the world, choose your own time schedule (from a week to as long as you
wish), learn about a foreign culture (usually in remote areas), learn a foreign language,
learn about any subject you want (e.g. from Ocean sustainability to archaeology), free
food, build your international career resume, and have a great time meeting some really
friendly people. The down side is that you
have to cover the costs of your plane ticket, sometimes cover a part or all of your living
accommodations, live in a remote area (usually) and have enough spending money for side
trips and shopping. But, in the end, you will
live an adventure of your own choosing.
