Tasmania is an Island state of Australia and lies about 150 miles to the southeast, across the Bass Strait.

 The two main cities of Tasmania are Hobart and Launceston.  Because the Island is remote and not very developed, it is much harder to find employment than in Australia or New Zealand.  Most of the jobs are in farming.
